Post Chipmunk down...chipmunk down
Just a heads up for those who smartly stay off the facetubes.. Matt, aka Hammer, was coaching the intro group at Summit Point Shenny over the weekend and noticed a rider who was riding way over his head, so he did what we do.. Swoop in front, tap the tail, and get them to follow.

I don't have the complete story, but from what I gather, the rider didn't slow down soon enough before T4 (the triple-apex uphill left) and hit Matt's back tire, sending them both down.

Despite Matt being carbon-dated somewhere around 374 years old, he suffered "only" a broken collarbone and some vaginal bruising. He's getting some Ti parts installed today. Guessing the Air vest helped? The Rossi wannabe apparently punctured a lung and was kept overnight at the hospital.

Not sure how the bike looks / if it's repairable, but it's a Kawi, sooo.. :jerkoff: :jerkoff: :giveafuck:

Keep the rabid chipmunk in your thoughts!

I heard from him after surgery. He sounds like he’s ok. He said we now have matching hardware and this dude basically used him for the brake marker so his sense of humor is working. The bike he said will be a winter project.

I can’t believe that happened in Intro group. Fucking newbie going for the track day world championship I guess.

Seems to be a common theme anymore from what I hear from the other coaches too.
