Had fun trying to push that heavy shit off the tarmac but it was not as bad as the one time when I didn't attend to it in a timely manner. 2-3" of ice was not good when I needed heating oil. They took one look at the driveway and said, "Nope". :D

They were pretty sure of this forecast for a change. I saw it coming. It took me a couple hours time dig out before work. Our job site is a mess. We're building a new house and not done with the exterior yet :banghead: Hopefully we get a reprieve and it warms up for a few weeks before winter really sets in.

Millville? I'll have to look into that. I'm ready regardless.

I have to start going to monthly member meetings at Keystone Fish & Game. The recent newsletter says they might start fucking with our privileges.

I left work late that night around 6:30pm, and trying to move the 8" or so we had then was a motherfucker! It was already sleeting on top of it, making it heavy as shit. high-centered the 4-wheeler twice trying to do it, and had to use the tractor a few days later to move the piles of snow back where they should be.

Thankfully the ground underneath was warm enough so that the sleet stayed slushy instead of turning to ice, so when I plowed the next morning, it was easy pushin'.

Good thing you have a spicey vehicle with appropriate contact patches.
Was the bottom half of the driveway clear before you came home?

HA! What, like my crappy neighbors doing their share?   That's why i like you.. you make me laugh. They waited for Daddy to come plow them out.. even though they have a 4-wheeler with a plow.

I wasn't shy about angling the blade to add another few inches to their driveway though. :rich:

I'd be in if I had 2 working shoulders!

Experienced inappropriate vehicle rotation during a very miserable, muddy hardscrabble in spring, which caused an inappropriate shoulder rotation (out of socket). Just got it fixed late Sept (so I could finish the asphalt adrenaline addiction) but no strength in it yet. Should be ready by spring tho. Definitely need a ride and shoot day then.

Owwww. I'm frickin' wincing just reading that.
I hate soft-tissue joint injuries...the pain, I'd rather break a bone.
Heal up well. If our fat, old asses don't get any ridin' exercise this Winter, you won't be slowin' anybody down come Spring. ;)

If that makes you squirm it gets worse. I've had dislocations of the shoulder before, so once they put it in at the hospital, I figured, oh well, I should look at getting that surgically fixed (Again) eventually and didn't think too much of it. 2 weeks later all I did was try to reach under the toy hauler and it popped out waaaaay to easily, again. Lots of pain (understatement), back to the hospital, gave me usual 'conscious sedation'. Except... I woke up with it still dislocated. This happened before on a different dislocation and they had to give me full anesthesia. EXCEPT... I was told in the early evening that the surgical team went home and I would have to wait until morning and they would schedule me in. Ended up being nearly a full day of dislocation fun.

On the bright side tho, with the aid of a shoulder brace I was able to finish track day season. My BP was different making lefts vs rights, but i managed to find some more corner speed, to stay ahead of the other 4 guys. They are catching up fast! :driving:

Screw invasive repair. Find a Chiropractor. They are the real technicians of musculature and structure.

I’ve watched a few YouTube videos on them. I thought they were just going to be a rumor again but they’re for real this time.

I don’t know what kind of power the competition is putting out. I’m betting the Hondas will handle but are they in the horsepower ballpark?

Not far off...seems typical for Honda with 104 claimed. Yamaha's YXZ1000 is 112 claimed.
Turbos claim as much as 50% more.

One thing's for sure, the exhaust system literally has the same plumbing as my JK.

So which one you gettin'? :D

Rich, you want a buggy too, right? Don't remember the inside of your trailer but I'm sure I could stuff one in mine...might even get it into the dually. Now I can take two! :D

Haven't you noticed? No one's riding two wheels in the dirt anymore.
Get with the program! :loser:

I'll buy one if you buy one.
(If only I had some stuff worth liquidating.) :(

Now, back to the question, which one of those pretty damn neat Talons strikes your desire to sit around being a dirty old man? :D

You’re killing me Fred!
MSRP to be determined. Expect $20,000 to get started. Yeah I’d be selling more of my old crap too. Plus I’d be looking for a nice trailer for it :banghead: I’m out at least until I hit a nice sized lottery or rob a bank. Hmmm, do you have any plans this weekend Fred? :pistols:

I bet the Talons will be at the GAOS in February. I’ll check them out then just for curiosity sake.

I hate SxS's. It's like "ooh, I want to go in the woods but I don't want to exert myself in the slightest." They definitely have their job as multi-purpose runabouts like when mcNeil uses his, but to be in the woods? Psshaw.

But Pete's is like a UJM, Universal Japanese Motorcycle. The Talons, et al, are akin to sportbikes. Not so akin as an MX bike, rather, the SxS utility models, of which, I also dislike...might as well be a John Deere.

Anyway, you know I'm gonna attempt to bend your mind, too. :D
Just think of a Talon as a mini-motored buggy. It has a dual range transfer case, locked rear and electrically auto-activated front diff. With 20" of rear suspension and generous ground clearance (13"), it's definitely rock-able on top of its free-flight capability...and no road rash!
Did I mention DCT? Just gas-n-go, literally...maybe check the air filter and change fluids once in a while. It's a Honda fer cryin' out loud!

Merry Christmas!

Serious about a Talon? No, not at all. Neat yes but not for me right now.
