Not to steal your thunder, Rich, but this is amazing

http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?296198-DT4300-Hauler-and-LQ-trailer-Ultimate-Raceday-Trackday-transport

If it was 4wd, I could almost justify it by using for winter maintenance/plowing!

Post Re: New bike hauler..
I've been a MDT/HDT "enthusiast" for quite some time and could talk your freaking ear off about using them for haulers, and also into RV conversions, and periodically kill a few hours browsing around to see what's out there. That said, I'm not really impressed with that setup.

First and foremost, for anything you would want to ride in, air suspension (at least on the rear axle, please) is a MUST. I've only seen one gooseneck hitch with any kind of air suspension built into it, and it was MEGAbucks. The short wheelbase won't be helping the ride quality AT ALL, and it's gonna beat the snot out of you and the trailer.

Second, that engine... Great, long-lasting engine, but that combo is 25klbs or more empty. Ever driven a stock 7.3L powerstroke at 25k GCVW? Not great, but not terrible, right? Yeah, the Ford had 50 more horsepower (stock) than this thing. You'll be getting passed by a Prius. This will have more torque, but when you're merging, you need horsepower.

Installed pretty easily.. By that, I mean that even a hack like me was able to trim the length of the curtain without it looking like Michael J. Fox used scissors on it..

Unfortunately, the vinyl currently has a "skunk" type of smell to it. Hopefully that dissipates QUICKLY.
