April 2-3 - Need some work done? Work day then fun day?

61Cubes - This is some private land to get your dirtybike out for, between Shamokin & Riverside.

He's been mountain biking I hear. I saw him in the fall for a tire change on the SV but other than that he's been MIA.

I can likely make that weekend work. Braaaap!

Have to shake off the rust for the first hour or two, only about one day of real off road riding in the last 4 years. :(

Maybe I'll wheel it out tonight and see if it fires. Hmmm... did I shut the fuel off and run it dry last time?

There's no pressure at a McNeil event.
Sign a liability waiver, sign over your first born, check your vehicle keys, wear a helmet at all times, bring something to add merit to your presence - beer, rake, steak...ammo.
Just kidding. We broke him of those requirements.
But bring a gun. You may need to defend yourse...uh, your beer. ;)
It's all about 3 of the 4 Bs. Beers, bikes, bullets...babes, if we can get 'em. (someone has to make sammiches).

It's very laid back, democratic rule over when to shoot and when to ride.
I doubt much clearing will be involved but it's likely, if Peter (McNeil) is up for that w/e, that the area will be scouted beforehand to determine any needed clearing efforts.

The only riding challenges are keeping up with Peter and some of the loose(pea gravel/sand) creek bed terrain.

I hope Peter answers here. I wouldn't mind spending an earlier day cleaning up the shooting area with some quad implements...smooth things out.

I'd be willing to bring my little sub-compact Massey down too, if we needed the bucket for anything.

You have a bucket?
Bring that thing over here! I need to move some dirt!
Drinking is allowed while operating and you won't have to wear a helmet at any time. :D
I don't need it yet but the time is coming soon enough.
In?

Random comments in no particular order:

Eskimos brining a bucket... this can only mean one thing. Some form jump or bump building. My suggestion? At least make things a table top in case of short landings

Pretty soon eskimo is going to be posting tv supercross events in the racing section. Of note, I watch it almost every week, stop on by... we'll have a beer or 5

Given my track days and track weekend plans, I can only likely only come out for one full day.

Bring a firearm? Okay, but just remember I'm a enthusiast, not a nut like you guys. I don't own a bullpup fiddy... ...yet....

Let me know about the 4th "B". If not, I'll pack my own sammich.

Bike fired right up and rode some low profile wheelies with the 5 yr old in front. The 3yr old got her first ever (much tamer) ride, and asked me tonight when she can go again.

I am ashamed to admit I've never performed any shock maintaince ever. I decided to feel the fleet for the first time. CBR forks- bone dry. Kawi, maybe a tad moist. CRF forks? Oily... I guess I need to send these to someone eventually.

Not a backhoe bucket, but yeah, a loader bucket.

Cubes - Isn't MDM near you, in Pipersville? No-brainer if so.

Does it have teeth and, maybe, you wanna see what it can do to move the face of a berm?

And, no, Cubes. I'm not building jumps, yet. :D

No teeth. it's just a regular loader bucket. It's not built for digging, doesn't really work too well for that, the machine doesn't weigh enough either.

I can do April 2nd but I'll be busy the 3rd.

I'll probably just bring the quad. The old XR needs a cam chain tensioner I think.

Guns, ammo and beer goes without saying.

I'm not going to be able to hit the broad side of barn, trying to shoot with arm pump.

Any fun hillclimbs on the property?

Something like that has all kinds of awesome written on it. Remember, tho'...almost every time you ride a dirtbike with enthusiasm, you will go down. Do we really want to be increasing the potential damages?

Okay, Rich, new plan... Whoops, right across the firing line!
Pull!
BraAP!
BANG!

Monday down in NC then, I must have been as enthusiastic as a teenager getting his first piece of booty, cause I crashed close to a dozen times, including being flipped off backwards during stand-up wheelie training (I went to hit the back brake and missed the pedal). The nailbed of my left foot's big toe is some kind of black & blue & green, my right ankle HATES any kind of non-flat surface, and every muscle in my legs and torso is sore, especially shoulders, quads, and core. But, the instructor teaching the class was great, and I learned a LOT.

Another thing I learned.. I will NOT be enthusiastically riding the weekend before a race! I need recovery time.

Just got done watching supercoss... I'm pumped- Let's ride! (Won't be doing any big jumps or stand up wheelies tho, got a plate in my wrist as a reminder to dial it back to 7 out of 10)

On a side note, if you guys can get the trail maintenance done ahead a time... THANKS! I have zero issue helping out for the day, but bachelor time away is precious, and I'm really Jonesin to ride.
