Post Busco Beach MX Park
http://www.buscobeach.com/

Located just outside of Goldsboro, NC. A few MX rtacks, hill climbs, a good amount of trails to ride, and LOTS of sand. We showed up on Tuesday night, and until we left Friday morning, we had the entire place basically to ourselves. There are lots of full RV hookups with good quality power, a shower house, and a few bathrooms scattered around.

Sand doesn't hurt nearly as much when you crash, and of course since I was training with Ike DeJager, I crashed. A lot. My little KTM is good in the soft stuff, as evidenced in Peter's coal lands, and though it's a tame 2-stroke, it can still be a little challenging to work with on a low-traction surface when it gets on the pipe.

Also borrowed a YZ450 to hit the tabletops a little harder, as the KTM's woods suspension was reaching its limits and I didn't have the sack to try and clear the table.. It felt surprisingly nimble under me, but everytime I had to pick up my bike off the ground, I did appreciate its 215lb weight. :)

I wouldn't make the trip just for this place, but if you're doing a weekend at VIR or NCBike, spending a day or 2 here DURING THE WEEK* would be time well spent.

* - as we were packing up to leave Friday, some of the locals were starting to roll in, and I can pretty much bet I wouldn't enjoy being there on the weekend. They have a lot of mud for them to play in, and with the amount of shitty beer cans I saw around, they're as redneck as they come.

Felt like I was a mile in the air... :jerkoff:

Weird, isn't it? You're right, almost looks like a 110 or one of those mid-size bikes.

Yeah that's funny! I never would have guessed it was a 450.
