Let's go test ride the new GoldWing at J&B!
It's the DCT transmission, but we can use manual mode.

Shit I forgot about that. Last time I was in Jeff was telling me to come ride it when they got it in. That should be interesting

Looking at the left foot rest, I was immediately hit with a feeling of dread...there's no shifter!
So I started looking at the buttons on the handlebar...that didn't help. :D

It is a rather good looking bike, tho'. The demo is "metallic chocolate" or whatever it's called, nice color. The white one is like the "pearl" on the CBRs, didn't look at the "red" one and they don't have a "gray" one. I think they are all DCT.
Without having sat on it, you could see that it's definitely a "rider forward" seating position. I think I could like it, a lot.

You've seen the vid where some moto-journalists rip around Motegi on 'em?
If not...

I'm torn between DCT or manual, but I'd definitely get the Tour. Why have a bike like this and not get the trunk?
One thing I'd have to research is the phone app stuff. There's a whole system dedicated to its usage but I'm not a fan of using a phone for anything but phone calls. For me, that's gonna be worse than learning to drive a push-button automatic.

Riding around the track with lady Gaga playing...

I'd enjoy that bike...

HOLY FUCK!!!?? $32,000?? (I'd still rock it if I could swing it)

That sounds like the full bells-n-whistles trim level.
I could be quite satisfied with a base model manual transmission "Tour" but, after optioning (I came to $31K), I think I'll just stick to trackbikes. :D
