Is that green and brown to match the dirt and grass it often times is laying in? :balls:

Nope. That's purely a coincidence.

Update: got the upper and lower fairing back from paint, and installed. The color is more orangey than the original, but it's close enough. I didn't replace the fender, tank or seat yet. In case the family comes with me to a track day, I still have a pit ride seat for little ones, and the tank has the knee grippies on it, saving me a few bucks for this season. Perhaps next season I'll get the other fiberglass pieces painted and installed, and it will all match. I'll post a pic once my number stickers come in. (Evolvegt requires a # on the bike, otherwise I'm not good enough to warrant a number, lol)

And yes, I got it painted red, because it makes the bike easier to find in the weeds. :D

It's seriously looking like red bike will be a track only mo-cheen. The new goal is one of those bmw xr1000 sport tourer as a blue bike replacement.

Tentative plans:

5/28&29 NYST EGT

7/2or3 Road Atlanta EGT

7/17 NJMP watch/support the KR racers,7/18 trackday EGT

Aug27 and/or 28th pocono TPM

Sept 17 and/or 18 pittrace EGT

The first 2 are pretty much set, the other 3 we will have to see. In hopes of crashing less I've promised myself an extra track day or two if I can keep the rubber side down for the season. Thus the 'and/or's.

Got the forks back from Mr. Mike tonight. Glad I opted for new springs... he said I was bottoming out the stockers.

Perhaps that's why under hard braking it often times felt harsh.

When assembling forks and clip ons, i assume loctite for the clipon bolts? Loctite or never seize for triple clamps?

A dab of the green loctite wouldn't hurt anything

No, no, no on the loctite. anti-sieze. steel bolt, aluminum thread. if you're tightening the fastener and it gets sticky or doesn't tighten smoothly, you're not getting the proper torque on the part, and the anti-sieze will fix that.

Every time I've seen someone who has had their clip-ons move, the fastener was 'tight', but the threads were dry.

Thanks. Track was 95% dry by 4:30. It was nice they extended the day a half hour, I rode the last hour straight through. The other two got in a solid 30 min session. There was seriously about 6 people on the track.
