Post Powdercoating
Putting this here for historicals:

Mentch171, as well as a few other very picky friends of mine have had powdercoating work done by a shop in Sunbury:

Custom Metal Coatings
301 Court Street
Sunbury, PA 17801

570-988-2226

If you've seen Mentch's stuff, then that's all the endorsement you need. :) I dropped off a second pair of wheels for the racebike to get done to match, but I'm sure it'll come out great. There were a few sets of car wheels there when I stopped in, and they looked really good.

I've been going to them a long time. They do great work and can do damn near anything you can imagine. Check out their Facebook page. He posted they just did a dragster frame that measured over 22' long.

And thank you Eskimo

This is also to remind me, I have to get down there this week with a body panel from the R6 to match up - apparently a Pantone code or paint code isn't how powdercoating works, so to get the best match I need to bring something in.

I will second this. I have personally used CMC (sad that the father has passed away) for multiple items that were VERY sensitive, and always been happy. For example, satin metalic grey finish on the centers of the last set of BBS LM's I built:

The company I am working for uses them to the extent that we have a van specifically for hauling finished goods back and forth... Have yet to see unsatisfactory work.

Damn they're some nice looking wheels!

On a funny side note, we have a guy who we've known for a long time working with us now in his second week who used to work at your company. He left there and worked in the construction field pretty much for the last 10 years. He recently decided to leave the company where he's been working and approached us. We're really happy to have him aboard :woot:

Wheels came out great, perfectly masked off the bolt areas and where the rotors sit, etc.

Just have to get the new bearings in them.

The color looks all wrong (too light) in the garage light, but should match the color in the sunlight.
